
MD, Surgical Oncologist Sarcoma Service Istituto Nazionale Tumori, Milan – Italy A surgical oncologist committed to improving outcomes for patients with soft tissue sarcoma (STS) and gastrointestinal stromal tumor (GIST) at Fondazione IRCCS Istituto Nazionale Tumori (INT) in Milan, Italy. In 2019, He completed a two-year Surgical Oncology clinical fellowship at the University of Toronto, Canada. Since 2013, he has been actively involved in the Transatlantic Australasian Retroperitoneal Sarcoma Working Group (TARPSWG), where he serves as the coordinator of the Education Committee. In the scientific field, his research is focused in particular on the study of the prognostic factors of sarcomas of the retroperitoneum, trunk and limbs and on the development of predictive models of oncological outcome in these patients. He is the author and co-author of several scientific publications in national and international journals and in 2015 he was awarded the prestigious VIII Lorini Prize for researchers in the oncology field. In 2015, He led the development of Sarculator, a free mobile app for smartphones and tablets that provides digital prognostic calculations for patients with STS. With thousands of downloads worldwide, Sarculator has become a valuable tool to support sarcoma clinicians and patients in daily clinical practice. |
