Dr. Muhamad Yusri Musa graduated with M.D from USM and obtained his specialist qualification from the same institution in 2010. Currently, he is a Medical Lecturer and a specialist in the field of Otorhinolaryngology – Head and Neck Surgery. He currently serves in the USM Bertam Medical Centre, Advanced Medical & Dental Institute (AMDI), Universiti Sains Malaysia, located in Bertam campus, Seberang Perai district Penang. He has deep interest in head and neck cancer particularly nasopharyngeal carcinoma (NPC) and brachytherapy for tongue cancer. He also run the allergy & Skin Prick Test clinic and founded the Sleep Laboratory service in his center. Some of his research includes clinical and molecular oncology, allergy and obstructive sleep apnea. He has published in multiple journals both nationally and internationally and involved in multiple bio-equivalent and phase 3 clinical trials. He also served as the Deputy director (clinical services) at AMDI, USM Bertam campus from 2013 until 2018 and lead the development of the institute as an established clinical and research centre especially in the field of oncology and stem cell research. Currently, he is one of the pioneer team members that has established brachytherapy procedure for oral cavity cancer and being recognized a brachytherapy training centre for head and neck cancer by BrachyAcademy, based in the Netherlands.
